Dr. Drew Whitehead

Drew Whitehead, O.D.

Dr. Phillip Andrew “Drew” Whitehead joined the Vision Source team in 2016. He graduated with honors from Texas Tech University (Guns Up!) and received his doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He sees patients of all ages and treats a wide range of eye diseases and vision issues, with a special interest in Dry Eye/Ocular Surface Disease. He is also certified in Myopia Management. While at UH, he completed specialty rotations in the Dry Eye Center, Specialty Contact Lenses, Pediatrics, and Low Vision.

Dr. Whitehead and his wife, Julia, met in high school in Bandera, TX. After years spent in Lubbock and Houston, they moved back to the hill country. They now have three children (Luke, Norah and William) and are thrilled to call Kerrville home. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, especially along the banks of the Guadalupe. Dr. Whitehead is an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and also serves with the Kerrville Morning Rotary Club.
