Welcome Dr. Whitehead to Vision Source!

We at Vision Source in Kerrville are pleased to announce the addition of Drew Whitehead, O.D., to the practice!

Dr. Whitehead is from this area. He grew up in Bandera, Texas, and he actually was one of our patients and did “job shadowing” at our office while he was in high school. So pleasing to see someone go on to study in the field, and become a top clinician in his class.

Dr. Whitehead is a 2016 graduate of The University of Houston College of Optometry. He earned his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University, graduating with honors. He is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. While at UH, he completed specialty rotations in the Dry Eye Center, Contact Lenses, Pediatrics, and Low Vision. He also did externship rotations at the VA Hospital in San Antonio and a large private practice in Austin, Texas. Whitehead is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

He joins Dr. Tobin B. Tilley and Dr. Trinh Nguyen. Vision Source provides treatment of all types of eye conditions, vision correction, lenses and frames, contact lenses, and surgical refractive procedures, including LASIK and PRK.

Dr. Whitehead and his wife, Julia, have a son, Luke, and enjoy spending time outdoors.
