Why wear sunglasses? (Hint: It’s not to look cool)

Quality sunglasses do more than make you look 'cool'

Quality sunglasses do more than make you look ‘cool’

A report by The Vision Council, shared on WebMD, noted that 3/4 of adults do not wear sunglasses!
Their reasons were varied. Over half lose or break them. A quarter of us just don’t bother. Bad choice, according to experts.
UV exposure can cause short-term and long-term effects on eye health.
Want proof? Just remember how your eyes feel after a long day at the beach or swimming pool. Bet they are tired, swollen, even bloodshot. The eye surface can even suffer sunburn, similar to the skin. In skiers it’s called “snow blindness.”
We don’t even want to get into the risks of long-term exposure to UV rays. That can lead to cataracts, macular degeneration, even cancer.
The good news is the solution is right around the corner. Purchase a pair of good-quality sunglasses. Quality means they will be built sturdy, have lenses prepared by experts, and protect from the damaging rays.

Oh. But you WILL look very cool, too.
